This contract opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic Physical Therapist ready to utilize assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills to deliver patient-centered care aligned with professional standards and physician directives. Delegation to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides is part of your scope, as is promoting physical therapy services and participating in ongoing program development.
Key Qualifications:
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, valid Physical Therapist licensure
- Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred
- Strong assessment and care planning abilities
- Comfortable supervising and delegating to PT Assistants and Aides
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and essential technology tools
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Compliance with OSHA requirements and facility safety protocols
- Able to meet the physical demands, including regular standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement goal-specific treatment regimes following patient evaluations
- Coordinate treatment schedules and collaborate closely with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical teams
- Educate clients and caregivers on conditions, prognosis, and home/exercise programs
- Supervise and guide PT Assistants, Aides, and students per regulatory standards
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in compliance with all policies and standards
- Recommend and facilitate acquisition of adaptive/supportive equipment
- Participate in program development, process improvement, and interdisciplinary team meetings
