Job Description
Seeking a dedicated physical therapist with proven experience in a hospital environment to deliver exceptional care and rehabilitation services. This contract position focuses on therapy services within an inpatient setting, supporting patients recovery and mobility goals.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- No weekend or holiday shifts
- Participation in a holiday rotation not required
Qualifications:
- Current, active license as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience in a hospital setting required
- Familiarity and proficiency with EPIC electronic health records preferred
- Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs within the hospital
- Document patient progress and therapy sessions thoroughly in EPIC
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and family members on home exercises and recovery plans
- Monitor, assess, and adjust therapy interventions based on patient response
- Ensure compliance with all facility, state, and federal regulations as well as professional standards
