Job Description

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Hospital-based physical therapy experience preferred
  • Strong assessment, therapeutic, and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • CPR certification required

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive physical therapy assessments and interventions to inpatients and outpatients in a hospital setting
  • Develop short- and long-term rehabilitation goals in collaboration with medical staff
  • Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with hospital policy
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and modify programs as needed to achieve maximum outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families about therapy procedures, goals, and home exercise programs
  • Provide support to other therapy staff and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
