Further your impact in patient care as a physical therapy professional focused on both outpatient and some acute care settings. This contract position allows you to provide comprehensive evaluation, goal-based treatment planning, intervention, and ongoing assessment in accordance with current clinical best practices and physician directives. Responsibilities also include delegation and oversight of assistants and aides to support patient progress and high-quality outcomes.
What youll bring:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist, meeting current regulatory standards
- Experience or strong interest in outpatient therapy; some acute care exposure beneficial
- Ability to delegate and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and students per guidelines
- Competency in patient assessment, creating tailored care plans, and effective intervention
- Strong documentation and written/verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and capacity to participate in organizational training
- Capacity to maintain patient confidentiality and align with standards for privacy and quality
- Ability to move freely, sit/stand/walk for extended periods, and lift medium-weight loads as required
- Solid time management, problem-solving abilities, and effective teamwork
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient function and set measurable, patient-specific rehabilitation goals
- Develop, implement, and regularly update treatment plans in consultation with physicians and care teams
- Educate patients and families on conditions, therapy options, and home-based care
- Document patient progress, update billing-related paperwork, and comply with agency protocols
- Recommend and help secure adaptive equipment for patients as needed
- Participate in program development, interdisciplinary meetings, community education, and staff mentoring
- Adhere to infection control, Occupational Safety, and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines
