Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment (specific schedule discussed during interview process)
Key Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (approved by APTA or equivalent)
- Active, unencumbered NC state physical therapy license or eligibility as per assignment
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in physical therapy preferred
- Valid CPR certification
- Ability to effectively supervise and evaluate Physical Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides
- Competency in basic computer skills and electronic documentation platforms
- Reliable transportation, current drivers license, and required liability insurance
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized plans of care in accordance with physician orders
- Deliver therapeutic services and treatments, adjusting plans as needed for optimal patient outcomes
- Oversee, mentor, and evaluate PTAs and Home Health Aides
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation and timely communication with the clinical team
- Instruct and consult with patients families and other care providers on therapy protocols
- Participate in in-service education and periodic office meetings
- Regularly assess home environments and provide recommendations for patient safety
- Ensure alignment with state regulations and agency protocols
