Job Description
Deliver vital physical therapy services in a hospital environment, working with diverse patient populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. This contract position calls for a dedicated Physical Therapist ready to provide skilled care to patients presenting with a broad spectrum of orthopedic and neurological conditions.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position with a caseload targeting 10 patient visits per day, or approximately 50 per week
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience preferred; applications from new graduates are welcome
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Strong clinical competency in gross motor assessments and standard therapy interventions
- Experience treating pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Professional demeanor and adherence to a business casual dress code
- Familiarity with orthopedic diagnoses such as post-op care, tendonitis, ACL injuries, rotator cuff tears/repairs, fractures, arthritic conditions, and sports/trauma-related injuries
- Knowledge of neurological conditions, including but not limited to Alzheimers, dementia, degenerative diseases, and vestibular/vertigo syndromes
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, develop, and manage treatment plans for a variety of orthopedic and neuro patients
- Conduct gross motor assessments and screenings as needed
- Build and maintain a growing caseload, utilizing evidence-based practice
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to maximize patient recovery and health outcomes
- Document patient progress in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements
