Schedule:
- Full-time contract position
- Outpatient primary assignment, with inpatient float as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) required
- Ability to delegate responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
- Competent in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation per current standards and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and team collaboration
- Comfortable with technology-driven documentation and use of electronic health records
- Experience in both outpatient and acute care settings preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient function using formal/informal measures, considering skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
- Develop and regularly update treatment regimes based on assessments and patient tolerance; tailor plans in consultation with referring physicians
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, alternatives, and home exercise programs
- Supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and students in line with regulatory and affiliate standards
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in care conferences, and contribute to program development and quality improvement
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure compliance with billing and regulatory procedures
- Promote safety, confidentiality, and adherence to OSHA standards
