As a traveling therapist in a hospital setting, youll have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of skilled professionals, observe diverse workplace practices, and learn from different leadership approacheskey ingredients for professional growth. During your downtime, explore the citys iconic landmarks, vibrant arts scene, and charming districts.

Schedule:

  • Travel assignment beginning at one location with transition to another within the Boston area in July

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients, interpret PT evaluations and test results, and establish individualized treatment plans
  • Administer manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, instructing and encouraging patients in exercises and use of assistive devices
  • Consistently and accurately document sessions, progress, and goals
  • Supervise PT Assistants per facility policy and state regulations
  • Communicate care plans, progress, and outcomes with patients and their families
  • Engage in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives
  • Adjust treatments based on ongoing patient progress assessments

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate per licensure date)
  • Current Physical Therapist license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 12 years experience in a hospital, rehab, or ambulatory setting
  • Experience with orthopedic physical therapy
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and strong organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including patient/family education
