Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time, hospital-based travel assignment
- Begins at one facility and transitions to another in July
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT program required for licenses earned after 2016)
- Active Physical Therapist license
- BLS Certification
- 1-2 years of hospital, rehab, or ambulatory care experience required
- Orthopedic PT background required
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
- Strong communication, organizational, and teaching abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess patients to establish plans of care and set therapy goals
- Administer manual therapies, exercises, and instruct on equipment use
- Continuously evaluate progress and adjust treatments for optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and families about therapy plans and progress
- Supervise PTAs in accordance with policies and regulations
- Accurately document care and complete records by days end
- Engage in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives
