Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience providing therapy in a hospital environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, visitors, physicians, and team members
- Ability to assess patient needs based on data, history, physical examination, and diagnostic analysis
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety and infection control protocols in healthcare environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional image while fostering a compassionate and respectful atmosphere for patients, families, and visitors
- Assess assigned patients, collect appropriate data, and participate in the development of individualized care plans
- Deliver evidence-based, age-specific care in alignment with physician directives and established standards
- Implement appropriate therapy interventions, focusing on holistic patient wellness and recovery
- Actively participate in hourly rounds, ensuring consistent patient engagement and meeting service excellence standards
- Utilize health and safety equipment as needed to safeguard patients and fellow staff members
- Collaborate with nursing staff on specialized care areas such as mobility assistance, fall risk reduction, and safe patient handling
- Support departmental efficiency, including potential charge responsibilities and mentoring of new team members
- Contribute to evidence-based practices and ongoing performance initiatives within the hospital system
- Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development by setting goals and engaging in educational opportunities
