Job Description

This contract role primarily provides therapy services in an outpatient environment, with some opportunities to support acute care. As an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll focus on patient-centered assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and evaluation aligned with best physical therapy practices and physician directives. Additionally, this position offers an outstanding $20,000 sign-on bonus for a two-year commitment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, contract-based
  • Primarily day shifts with occasional flexibility depending on patient needs

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current license (or ability to obtain) as a Physical Therapist
  • Strong skills in assessment, planning, and implementing therapy interventions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and demonstrate solid organizational skills
  • Physical ability to meet medium demand levelslifting, moving, and assisting patients

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient function using formal and informal measures, focusing on skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
  • Develop and regularly update individualized treatment plans based on assessments and patient tolerance, coordinating care with physicians
  • Delegate tasks to and oversee Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides, ensuring compliance with all affiliative and regulatory standards
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about therapy plans, alternatives, prognosis, and self-management strategies
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contribute to program development, and represent hospital physical therapy services in the community
  • Complete accurate daily documentation for clinical and billing compliance
