As a valued member of the Rehabilitation Services team, youll broaden your skillset through exposure to multifaceted therapy settings and innovative patient care approaches. Schedule/Hours:
- Day shifts, no night shifts
- At least 1 weekend shift per month on a rotating basis
- Floating to other sites is optional but encouraged when needed
- Call-in procedures require notifying the rehab office
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct tailored therapy treatments to restore and improve patients physical, social, and mental well-being
- Serve as a co-leader within a dedicated interdisciplinary team
- Treat patients across all hospital units according to received orders
- Operate specialized equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, walkers, canes)
- Participate in special procedures such as video swallow studies
- Utilize Cerner for thorough, timely documentation
- Collaborate with transportation for scheduled exams
- Liaise with intensivists and hospitalists as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid and current Physical Therapist license
- Previous hospital-based therapy experience preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Adaptability to perform across multiple units
- Familiarity with Cerner is advantageous
- Professional demeanorblack scrubs required
