Job Description

Step into an impactful physical therapy role focused on patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract opportunity primarily involves outpatient responsibilities, with occasional acute care coverage, fostering a varied and engaging caseload. Candidates will carry out comprehensive assessments, devise individualized treatment plans, delegate tasks to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides, and ensure documentation and care delivery align with current standards and regulations.

Schedule:

  • Contract, full-time hours
  • Outpatient focus with some acute care float as needed

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Ability to delegate, supervise, and collaborate with support staff
  • Competency in clinical assessment, patient education, and treatment planning
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and willingness to participate in further training as required
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experience working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform formal and informal patient assessments across skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular areas
  • Develop, implement, and update goal-specific treatment regimens in collaboration with physicians and care teams
  • Lead patient, family, and caregiver education on conditions, treatments, and expected outcomes
  • Supervise and guide Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and students per organizational standards
  • Promote and support process improvement, program development, and community education initiatives
  • Ensure thorough, accurate documentation and adherence to infection control protocols and safety policies
  • Act as case manager for assigned patient cases
