A rewarding opportunity awaits a Physical Therapist with hospital experience to provide expert therapy services in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role focuses on delivering evidence-based, compassionate care in an acute care setting, supporting patients on their recovery journeys.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- 12-hour shifts
Qualifications:
- Valid and current Physical Therapist license
- Prior experience in hospital-based physical therapy (acute care experience preferred)
- Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current BLS certification required
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and administer therapy interventions to restore function, improve mobility, and relieve pain in patients with a range of diagnoses
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to develop integrated care plans
- Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and exercises for continuity of care post-discharge
- Adhere to all relevant hospital, state, and federal guidelines for therapy services
- Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings when required
