Deliver exceptional care as an Occupational Therapist working primarily in acute and outpatient hospital settings. In this contract opportunity, you'll have the chance to positively impact patients lives through assessment, planning, and intervention, utilizing industry standards and best practices. Youll collaborate with physicians, provide guidance to Occupational Therapist Assistants and Aides, and be instrumental in helping patients regain independence. This role offers a generous sign-on bonus of $14,000 for a two-year commitment.
Schedule and Hours:
- Full-time contract position
- Rotational shifts may be required based on patient and departmental needs
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in hospital and outpatient therapy settings preferred
- Competency in Microsoft Windows and openness to continuing education
- Physical capacity to meet the medium physical demand level (lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. occasionally and frequent movement)
- Ability to supervise OTAs and Aides, ensuring quality patient care
- Excellent communication skills with internal teams and patients/families
- Adaptability to stressful situations and effective task management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient function via formal/informal assessments of skeletal, neurological, developmental, and cognitive status
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians
- Supervise and co-sign documents for OTAs as needed
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions and home care programs
- Recommend and help procure adaptive/supportive equipment
- Maintain compliance with affiliate policies, documentation, and regulatory standards
- Promote occupational therapy within the organization and participate in community education
