Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program, with current OT license (or eligibility).
  • Previous experience or strong interest in hospital-based OT, both outpatient and acute care preferred.
  • Able to supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and electronic documentation.
  • Strong assessment, planning, and patient/family education skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients functional abilities and develop tailored treatment programs.
  • Coordinate care and update plans based on changing needs and physician directions.
  • Educate patients and their support system on health conditions, prognosis, and home programming.
  • Document clinical and administrative information in accordance with policy and regulatory standards.
  • Recommend and help secure adaptive equipment as needed.
  • Maintain high standards in quality, confidentiality, and team communication.
  • Contribute to continual process improvement and staff development.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and community education efforts.
  • Uphold safety, professional conduct, and organizational values at all times.
