Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible scheduling in a travel capacity

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with current registration
  • Relevant hospital-based therapy experience preferred
  • Experience or willingness to float between outpatient and acute care settings
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and aides

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient function using formal/informal testing to determine individualized therapy needs
  • Develop, implement, and update goal-specific treatment plans in coordination with physicians and clinical teams
  • Delegate and supervise OT Assistants, aides, and students within standards and regulations
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about treatment, home care, and prognosis
  • Participate in team conferences and improvement initiatives
  • Recommend and help secure adaptive equipment based on assessment
  • Ensure compliance with all documentation, billing, and regulatory requirements
