A Travel Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in the Murphysboro, IL area, supporting multiple hospitals and departments across Southern Illinois. This position offers a diverse clinical experience, providing therapy services primarily Monday through Friday, with floating assignments between three key hospital locations. Flexibility in shift scheduling is also welcomed to meet patient care needs effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services within hospital settings, including acute care, step-down ICU, rehab, and emergency departments.
- Adapt therapy approaches to diverse patient populations across various clinical units such as ICU, PCU, Med/Surg, and rehab.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain compliance with hospital and departmental protocols, including ongoing certifications and training requirements.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in hospital-based therapy.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS as required by specific hospital departments. (Completion of CSU-ALS certification is preferred for ICU assignments.)
- Flexibility to float between hospitals including Herrin, Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, and St. Joseph Memorial.
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
