As an Occupational Therapist in Herrin and its neighboring communities, youll benefit from collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, observing a variety of leadership styles, and adopting best practices from multiple departments. Role Overview:
- 5-day workweek, Monday through Friday
- Requires flexibility, with floating between Herrin, Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, and St. Joseph's facilities as needed
- Exposure to multiple patient types and departments, including acute rehab, ICU, medical/surgical, PCU, and emergency
- Flexible shifts available to accommodate your needs
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license (state of Illinois or eligibility to obtain)
- Current BLS certification required for all departments
- Depending on assignment area, may require ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS; ICU settings may prefer CSU-ALS
- Previous hospital-based experience and adaptability to varying clinical settings strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapy interventions in diverse clinical settings
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Document patient progress and adjust care strategies as needed
