An exciting contract opportunity awaits an Occupational Therapist with experience in both acute and extended care settings. The role involves supporting a diverse caseload across inpatient/swing, outpatient, and extended care units. The department is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, with flexible scheduling options. Choose between four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week, with a guaranteed 36 hours each week. This 8-week assignment emphasizes collaboration within a dedicated therapy team serving five inpatient/swing beds, 20 extended care beds, and a busy outpatient clinic.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in the State of Colorado
- Minimum of two years of professional OT experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree from an AOTA- or AOTE-accredited program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with Athena electronic medical records
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment and work independently
Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop personalized therapy interventions for patients in all care settings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in Athena EMR
- Support patient transitions between care settings, optimizing recovery and independence
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and follow-up care
