An exciting contract opportunity awaits an Occupational Therapist with experience in both acute and extended care settings. The role involves supporting a diverse caseload across inpatient/swing, outpatient, and extended care units. The department is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, with flexible scheduling options. Choose between four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week, with a guaranteed 36 hours each week. This 8-week assignment emphasizes collaboration within a dedicated therapy team serving five inpatient/swing beds, 20 extended care beds, and a busy outpatient clinic.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in the State of Colorado
• Minimum of two years of professional OT experience
• Bachelors or Masters degree from an AOTA- or AOTE-accredited program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with Athena electronic medical records
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment and work independently

Responsibilities:

• Assess and develop personalized therapy interventions for patients in all care settings
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in Athena EMR
• Support patient transitions between care settings, optimizing recovery and independence
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and follow-up care
