Job Description
Step into an impactful role delivering essential occupational therapy services in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract opportunity involves supporting acute care patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses, including those in ICU, neurology, orthopedics, and general debility. Youll play a key role in patient recovery and functional improvement from physician orders throughout the hospital.
Schedule:
- 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (Varies)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in occupational therapy within an acute care hospital environment
- Active Occupational Therapist license for Georgia (GA License OT)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Experience working with a broad spectrum of medical conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and critical care populations
- Proficiency with the One Chart - Cerner EMR system preferred
- Candidates must be located more than 50 miles from the hospital
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic evaluation and interventions for acute care inpatients based on physician orders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans for patients across a wide range of diagnoses
- Deliver hands-on patient care, progress documentation, and education to patients and their families throughout the hospital
- Participate in discharge planning, safety recommendations, and post-acute care coordination
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the One Chart - Cerner EMR system
