Schedule/Hours:
- Travel contract assignment with flexible duration
- Full-time hospital-based shifts
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy evaluations and individualized treatment plans to hospital inpatients and outpatients
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to provide holistic patient care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record system
- Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and use of equipment to support safe discharge home
- Participate in department meetings and continuous quality improvement initiatives
