Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with hospital-based therapy skills to provide care in a dynamic healthcare setting serving Southern Illinois. This travel position involves floating between three medical centers in the Carbondale, IL area, offering variety and professional growth. The schedule is Monday through Friday with shift flexibility as needed to meet patient care demands.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions in hospital environments including emergency departments, ICU, PCU, step-down units, acute rehab, and medical/surgical units.
• Adapt therapeutic approaches based on patient acuity and department-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient rehabilitation and recovery.
• Maintain certifications and complete mandatory training as required for specialized hospital units.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license.
• Hospital therapy experience, preferably in acute care settings.
• Certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support) mandatory for all sites.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications as applicable for specific departments.
• Preferred: CSU-ALS certification for ICU settings.
• Ability to float between medical centers: flexibility is essential.
