Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support acute care therapy services within a hospital setting. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including those with complex medical and surgical needs. This assignment is for a 13-week duration.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (varies)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care setting
  • Current GA Occupational Therapist license required
  • Active BLS certification
  • Proficiency with One Chart Cerner electronic medical records
  • Ability to support patients throughout the hospital, including ICU, neurology, orthopedics, and general debility
  • Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles outside the Canton, GA area

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy to patients with a range of diagnoses under physician orders
  • Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Document all patient encounters and progress accurately and promptly in Cerner
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic interventions and ongoing care needs
  • Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations for continued therapy services as appropriate
