In this specialized opportunity, you will provide in-home occupational therapy services. Your clients will span the lifespanfrom newborns to seniors over 100offering a broad scope of experience to strengthen your resume. Through collaboration with patients, their families, physicians, and allied health professionals, you will identify client needs and coordinate comprehensive care plans. This dynamic working environment encourages flexibility and personal initiative, giving you the chance to cultivate your adaptability and clinical judgment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time travel position
- Schedule based on patient needs within the local area
Qualifications:
- One year of certified home care Occupational Therapist experience required
- At least two years as an Occupational Therapist in acute care, rehab, or homecare
- Registered with the Massachusetts Board of Registration
- Proficiency in computer software and familiarity with handheld patient care devices preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to evolving circumstances
- Must be willing to travel within the designated geographic region
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions in patients residences
- Assess and manage impairments resulting from injury, disease, or disability
- Coordinate care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document care electronically in a thorough and timely manner
- Effectively manage clinical, technical, and resource components
