Work Schedule
- Travel within Bostons metropolitan area and neighboring communities as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy services to patients of all ages in their residences, addressing impairments due to injury, disease, or disability
- Assess, plan, and implement effective treatment in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals
- Coordinate patient care needs and facilitate home adaptation recommendations
- Manage resources efficiently, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical record systems and hand-held care devices
Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist registration with the Massachusetts Board of Registration
- Minimum one year of certified home care occupational therapy experience
- Two years experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or homecare as an OT
- Proficient with standard computer software; knowledge of mobile patient care devices preferred
- Clear, professional verbal, written, and electronic communication abilities
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability
- Customer service savvy and cultural competence to serve a diverse population
- Willingness to travel within the assigned geographic area
