An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist in a hospital setting, working primarily with acute care and outpatient populations. This contract role centers on patient-focused occupational therapy services, utilizing high standards of clinical care, strong ethics, teamwork, and accountability. Candidates should be comfortable working in both high-intensity and collaborative, interdisciplinary environments.

Schedule:

• Full-time hours on a contract basis

Qualifications:

• Active licensure/certification as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in hospital settings, particularly acute and outpatient care
• Ability to delegate responsibilities to Occupational Therapist Assistants and Aides
• Competency in Microsoft Windows and willingness to pursue ongoing learning
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capability to manage physical demands consistent with a medium physical demand level (lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally, frequent standing/walking)
• Strong commitment to confidentiality, ethics, quality, and teamwork

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient function using formal/informal assessments, including skeletal, neurological, and cognitive domains
• Develop, document, and implement goal-driven treatment plans in coordination with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and home care programs
• Supervise and mentor Occupational Therapist Assistants, aides, and students
• Document patient responses and changes per organizational and regulatory standards
• Recommend and assist with adaptive/supportive equipment
• Participate in program development, process improvement, and community education
• Attend interdisciplinary and team meetings as required
