As a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), youll have the chance to hone your expertise under the supervision of experienced Occupational Therapists. This travel role will expose you to diverse patient populations and workplace practices, enhancing your technical and leadership skills as you play a vital role in providing high-quality care.
Schedule:
- Days: Monday Friday
- 8-hour shifts, full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to patients in a hospital SNF setting.
- Assist Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to identify needs, set goals, and track progress.
- Lead therapeutic activities and exercises to enhance motor skills, coordination, and overall function.
- Instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Meticulously monitor and document patient outcomes, modifying interventions as needed.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and optimal results.
Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, active and in good standing.
- Previous experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to new environments and demonstrate initiative in patient care.
