Job Description
Provide specialized therapy services as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic hospital setting focused on medical-surgical and ICU patient care. This contract position offers a consistent day shift schedule with no call or float duties, ideal for professionals seeking a structured work environment.
Location: Longview, TX

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to an average of 10 patients per day in medical-surgical and ICU units.
- Utilize EMR systems, preferably MedHost, to document patient care effectively.
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and discharge planning.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
- Minimum of 1 year acute care experience.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
- Experience in medical-surgical and ICU settings preferred.
- Proficiency or familiarity with MedHost EMR preferred.
- Ability to wear solid color scrubs as per hospital policy.
Schedule:
- Days, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- No float and no call requirements
Additional Details:
- Candidates must reside over 50 miles from the work facility to qualify as travelers.
