Virtual School Social Worker - Illinois School District
Requirements:
- Must hold an active School Social Worker license in Illinois.
- Possess a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in teletherapy or a strong willingness to adapt to this mode of service delivery.
- Proficiency with technology, including video conferencing and digital tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and collaborate with the school team.
Qualifications:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' social and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address students' needs and goals.
- Provide counseling services to students through teletherapy.
- Offer guidance and support to students dealing with social and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Attend virtual IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and interventions.
- Prepare reports as required by the school district and VocoVision.
- Adapt to the unique needs of each student and the virtual learning environment.
- Be open to professional development and training opportunities.
