Bondsville, MA:  Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (School-based)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team at a district in the Bondsville, MA area for the upcoming ESY/ summer assignment. As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), you will play an important role in supporting our Speech Language Pathologists in providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to children with mild to moderate general and special education needs. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing assessments and evaluations of children's communication and language abilities
  • Implement treatment plans developed by Speech Language Pathologists to improve children's communication and language skills
  • Provide therapy services to children under the guidance of a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Monitor and document children's progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, parents, and families to support children's success

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
  • Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with pediatric clients in a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based interventions in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and communicate effectively with parents and families
