Summary: We are seeking a Remote School Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team and provide teletherapy services to students in need of speech, language, and communication support. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders remotely, collaborating closely with school staff and families to facilitate student progress and success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student needs.
- Deliver teletherapy sessions to students using appropriate digital platforms and tools.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into the academic curriculum and home environment.
- Monitor and document student progress through regular progress reports and updates.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on goals, progress, and accommodations.
- Stay informed about best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, assessments, and communications.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or eligibility for certification.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state(s) where services will be provided.
- Previous experience working as a speech-language pathologist in a school setting preferred.
- Proficient in using teletherapy platforms and technology for service delivery.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
