Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Adapt curriculum materials and teaching techniques to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth for all students.
Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to address students' unique needs effectively.
Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Provide guidance and support to paraprofessionals and support staff working with students with special needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress, behavior, and IEP goals.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field (required).
Valid state certification/license in Special Education (required).
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of students with special needs.
