Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is currently hiring for a Special Education Teacher position in the Schuyler, NE area. This Special Education Teacher will work closely with students with diverse learning needs, providing tailored educational support to help them succeed.

Responsibilities:

Adapting lesson plans to meet the individualized needs of students with disabilities
Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
Providing direct instruction and support across various subjects and skill levels
Collaborating with special education staff and general education teachers to ensure the successful inclusion of students with disabilities
Maintaining open communication with parents/guardians to address student progress and concerns

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid Special Education Teacher certification in the state of Nebraska
Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred
Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
Strong communication and collaboration skills
