Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential instructional support as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. In this impactful contract role, youll serve a caseload of nine students ranging from kindergarten through 21 years (KAdult Transition), addressing a variety of unique learning needs. Beginning in August, contribute your expertise across multiple school sites near Woodland Park, CO, ensuring every student has the resources and guidance needed to thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) credential required
• Experience working with K12 or young adult students with visual impairments
• Strong skills in conducting evaluations and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
• Comfortable providing both direct and consultative services across diverse age ranges
• Adaptability to manage changing priorities and travel between sites as needed

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, tailored to individual needs
• Conduct formative and summative evaluations to inform educational services
• Write, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school staff and families
• Provide resources, strategies, and training to classroom teachers and support staff
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success across school environments
• Participate in required onboarding and training processes, including fingerprinting
