A full-time teaching opportunity for a visually impaired educator is available in Winston-Salem, NC, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This onsite, contract position offers an engaging role within a K-12 school environment, focusing on supporting the unique learning needs of visually impaired students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and services tailored to visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.
- Utilize assessment tools to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure accessible learning environments.
- Participate in professional development and utilize mentorship resources to enhance instructional skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid NC Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license is required.
- Experience working with visually impaired students in educational settings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
