Job Description

A full-time teaching opportunity for a visually impaired educator is available in Winston-Salem, NC, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This onsite, contract position offers an engaging role within a K-12 school environment, focusing on supporting the unique learning needs of visually impaired students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and services tailored to visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Utilize assessment tools to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure accessible learning environments.
  • Participate in professional development and utilize mentorship resources to enhance instructional skills.

Qualifications:

  • Valid NC Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license is required.
  • Experience working with visually impaired students in educational settings.

  • Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered teaching approaches.
