Job Description
A school in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide specialized instruction to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This onsite contract position demands dedication to fostering educational growth and independence in students with visual impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the needs of visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and support teams to develop and implement effective education plans
- Utilize adaptive teaching strategies and assistive technologies to support student learning and engagement
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) license is required
- Experience working as a TVI in a K-12 educational setting is preferred
