Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Visual Impairments or equivalent credential.
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are blind or visually impaired.
  • Familiarity with Braille, large print, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility principles.
  • Strong ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and school teams.
  • Adaptable, with a learner-centered approach and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative instructional services to students with visual impairments.
  • Assess student abilities and develop accessible curriculum materials.
