Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Visual Impairment or TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired).
- Demonstrated experience working with children or students who are blind or have low vision, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of adaptive techniques, assistive technology, and Braille instruction.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop and adapt lessons and materials to various learning needs.
- Organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing caseloads and individualized education plans (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, tailored to individual abilities and IEP goals.
