Job Description

Make a real difference in the lives of students by supporting them as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a small, dedicated caseload and collaborate with school staff near Warwick, GA.

Youll provide tailored instruction and consultation across multiple school locations, helping ensure that each student receives the specialized support they deserve. While onsite work is preferred, there may be flexibility for remote (VOCO) services pending a demonstration.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Georgia certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience teaching students with visual impairments; braille instruction skills a plus
  • Comfortable working directly with students, attending IEPs, and offering consultative services
  • Adaptable and organized, able to travel between four to five school buildings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

What Youll Do:

  • Work with a caseload of eight students, four of whom are seen weekly; provide consultative support for four additional students
  • Deliver direct instruction for one student requiring primary VI and braille support
  • Support diverse needs through both in-person and consultative sessions
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to help each student thrive
  • Travel across up to five nearby schools and manage a part-time schedule of approximately five hours per week (roughly two hours per day)
