Job Description

Opportunities are available for professionals specializing in visual impairment and orthopedic impairment education within a school setting in Westminster, CO. The primary focus includes providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, including telehealth services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering tailored educational programs for students with visual impairments and orthopedic impairments.
  • Conducting telehealth sessions to support students remotely.
  • Collaborating with educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Providing orientation and mobility training to enhance students' independence and confidence.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress to ensure educational goals are met.

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) and/or Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist.
  • Experience with telehealth methods in an educational environment preferred.
