A remote teaching opportunity is available for a qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students in Massachusetts via telehealth. This part-time contract position focuses on delivering specialized instruction to students ranging from 5th through 12th grade.
Key qualifications include:
- Valid Massachusetts Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Visually Impaired Education
- A minimum of two years of school-based teaching experience working with visually impaired students
- Strong understanding of adaptive technologies and educational strategies tailored to the needs of visually impaired learners
Primary responsibilities involve:
- Planning and implementing individualized instruction tailored to each student's unique visual abilities and educational goals
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support students academic, social, and emotional development through telehealth platforms
- Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly to maximize learning outcomes
- Communicating effectively with parents, caregivers, and school personnel to ensure cohesive support
