Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Georgia
20262027 School Year | Remote | Contract

VocoVision is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a fully virtual contract position supporting students within a Georgia school district during the 20262027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TVI looking to provide specialized services remotely while collaborating with students, families, and school-based teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide virtual instruction and support to students who are blind or visually impaired
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to the development and implementation of IEP goals
  • Provide instruction in areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC), as appropriate
  • Adapt instructional materials and recommend accommodations and assistive technology
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families
  • Participate virtually in IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress monitoring
  • Maintain accurate documentation and service records in accordance with district requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Special Education, Visual Impairments, or a related field
  • Valid Georgia certification/credentialing to provide TVI services in a school setting
  • Previous experience working with K12 students who are blind or visually impaired
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and accessibility tools for students with visual impairments
  • Previous school-based and/or virtual experience preferred
  • Reliable internet connection and appropriate home workspace

  • K12 caseload
  • Weekly hours and caseload details determined by district needs
  • Access to VocoVisions virtual platform and remote-service resources
