This role focuses on delivering specialized educational support to students with visual impairments through telehealth platforms. The position requires expertise in adapting learning materials and teaching methods to meet the needs of visually impaired learners in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and support to students with visual impairments via telehealth.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams.
- Utilize assistive technologies and resources designed for visually impaired students.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with parents, educators, and support staff regarding student needs and progress.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.
- Experience teaching visually impaired students, preferably through remote or telehealth methods.
- Strong knowledge of assistive technology and accessibility tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a virtual teaching environment.
