A teaching role is available in Colorado Springs, CO, specializing in serving students who are visually impaired through telehealth services. This contract position starts on August 10, 2026, and extends through May 20, 2027, with an expected workload of 20 to 25 hours per week. The assignment covers a caseload of nine students ranging in age from kindergarten through 21 years, including adult transition students.
Responsibilities include providing direct support, conducting evaluations, and writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with visual impairments. The role demands effective telehealth delivery of specialized instruction and collaboration with support staff, including supervision by paraprofessionals or other designated personnel.
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Valid Teacher of Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure is mandatory.
- Prior experience working with visually impaired students across a broad age range, including adult transition populations.
- Proficiency in delivering telehealth education services.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop IEP documentation.
