Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Previous experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to adapt learning materials and techniques for varied student needs
• Collaborative spirit and willingness to partner with educational teams, families, and related service providers
• Understanding of specialized instructional technologies and Braille

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with visual impairments
• Adapt classroom materials and curriculums to ensure accessibility and engagement
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and update learning plans
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
• Provide training for staff and families on best practices and assistive technology
• Advocate for students needs and support their integration into the broader school environment
• Maintain accurate documentation of service delivery and student goals
