A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join an educational team in Spring, TX. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across a districtwide itinerant caseload, enhancing their academic experience and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational services to students with visual impairments across multiple school sites.
- Collaborate with staff, families, and specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Utilize specialized teaching methods and adaptive technology to support student learning.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain detailed documentation and reports as required by the district.
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in visual impairment education.
Qualifications:
- Valid TVI educator license is required.
- Experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting.
- Ability to manage a districtwide itinerant caseload effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Location: Spring, TX on-site position with districtwide travel within the area.
Schedule: Approximately 32.5 hours per week, contract through July 3, 2026.
