Key Qualifications:

  • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educational staff
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting curriculum and materials to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with district staff to develop and implement effective IEPs
  • Advocate for appropriate accommodations and resources for student success
  • Travel between assigned schools within the region to deliver services across various grade levels (specific caseload and assignments to be determined)
  • Utilize creative methods and adaptive technology to maximize students' independence and learning
  • Maintain timely documentation and communication with education teams and families
