Make a difference in the lives of students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) on a part-time, contract basis. Work closely with K-12 students, providing essential instruction and specialized support to help them thrive academically and personally. Qualifications:

• Active Texas TVI license required
• Previous experience supporting students with visual impairments preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs
• Collaborative approach when working with other educators, families, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels
• Develop and implement customized instructional plans and materials
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to create accessible learning environments
• Advocate for students needs and ensure access to appropriate resources and technologies
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and state requirements
