A position is available for a skilled Visually Impaired Teacher to support students in an educational setting. This role involves providing specialized instruction and resources to students with visual impairments, ensuring they receive a comprehensive, accessible education tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate the educational needs of students with visual impairments.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on visual impairment.
• Deliver direct instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility, assistive technology, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student learning.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Assist with classroom accommodations and accessible materials preparation.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal education guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments.
• Proven experience teaching students with visual impairments in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment.
