Job Description
Teachers with expertise in supporting students with visual impairments are needed for a contract position located in Sanford, FL. This role involves delivering specialized instruction and tailored educational support to visually impaired students, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of visually impaired students.
- Provide direct instruction in areas such as braille literacy, use of assistive technology, and orientation and mobility skills.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a comprehensive educational experience.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to optimize learning outcomes.
- Maintain detailed records and reports on students development and program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure in teaching students with visual impairments or related specialization.
