• Valid Florida Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license required
• Previous experience working with students who are visually impaired or blind preferred
• Familiarity with adaptive technology and techniques for accessibility
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Flexibility and collaborative spirit to work across K-12 classrooms
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to visually impaired students across elementary, middle, and high school levels
• Consult and collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusion
• Adapt lesson materials to Braille, large print, and accessible formats as needed
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and track progress
• Advocate for student accommodations and resources
• Foster independence and confidence, equipping students with skills for academic and daily success
